Wednesday Sunday
Back from the game. Some thoughts.
Fans superb, 2,000+ for a 'nothing game', beach balls and fancy dress. Good work by the Cowboys and Indians who were sat behind us, but why were the 'Farmers' relieved of their plastic spades when the Indian Squaw could take in a plastic axe?
Some hopeless defending gifted Wednesday two first half goals, then Warner distracted by a plastic bag, did a Gunny. All over we thought, but with Dion up front brought us back and we should have at least drawn the game.
Next year, we need a big striker to hold up and lay off the ball if we're keeping Earnie, Dublin was just class. At the end of the game, I felt Dion was waving goodbye. A shame, he's been fantastic.
All in all, this season has been a massive disapointment, we had the money but invested unwisely. Peter Grant, now is your chance to create the team you want. With the support and infrastructure we have, we expect much better next year.
Roger Mumby, if things aren't moving forward, I doubt that you'll be outside the Away End greating the fans ... Our Club deserve so much better over the 46 games, but I have more confidence in the summer transfers with Grant rather than Worthington.
See you all in August!
