I read a chapter of a Martin O'Neil biography today concerning Norwich
It had an interview with Robert Chase in it.
Chase said that the reason O'Neil left and went to Leicester was not because of the Windass dispute, but due to the fact that commuting everyday to Norwich took its toll. His family was still living near Wycombe.
The fact that we didnt sign Windass would have made O'Neil more determined to get his next man in.
The book went on to quote Mike Walker, who basically said Robert Chase was a tight arse.
Apparently, Chase gave a glowing reference to Leicester before they appointed him manager!
