I'm pretty certain that the politicians would agree entirely with your proposition
which is, surely, argument enough against it. The problem for the politicians when the, er, less well educated are allowed to vote is unpredictability. Left to their own devices they have a tendency to vote against the interests of the ruling classes. Fortunately, there's a pretty robust propaganda system in place that pretty much ensures continuity.
Call me paranoid, but all this bollocks with e-voting is, I am convinced, designed to confuse; to make the process more difficult and allow manipulation should it be required.
