Joey Barton – a spell inside required?

Should Joey Barton get a custodial sentence for his attack on Ousman Dabo? If the report, link below, is anything to go by, and taking into his previous behaviour, there’s a very good chance he will get sent down if Dabo chooses to press charges.

I know Manchester City, would like to protect the value of their biggest asset, but how much longer can the “There There Treatment”, PFA Counselling, and Anger Management courses be used before it is realised that a more drastic approach is required.

Fines and suspensions do not seem to have worked; he’s more than likely earned enough money to fund a lavish life style if he gets thrown out of football (which is unlikely) so the only sanction available is to deprive him of his liberty.

A few months of playing “hunt for the soap” with Mr Big in the prison showers should sort him out.
