My player ratings
Warner - 7 - Didn't have THAT much to do but still made a couple of important saves.
Drury - 6.5 - Didn't do a lot wrong and got forward a couple of times. Really should come forward more, but I've said this time and time again about Drury, like most Norwich fans lol
Shackell/Dublin - 6.5 Both pretty solid but, like most of our play today, too many bloody long balls to a striker who was never going to win anything in the air. Dublin push/punch on one of their players very uncharacteristic. Did the player he tackle stamp on him?? That's the only reason I can think of for his aggresion towards him in what was a fairly placid derby.
Hughes - 8.5 - Had a VERY good day today. Sometimes prone to mistakes ESPECIALLY when he's playing well and starts trying to do too much when he knows the crowd think he's playing well. Probably my joint MOM
Croft - 5 - I despair with Croft. Not too bad in the first half, but WAY too often he cuts back when on the ball or, when wanting the ball, cuts inside rather than bombs up the wing. Think he'll be here next season but think Chadwick will be the regular right winger not him.
Etuhu - 8.5 - Quality player who is still improving fast every match. GREAT first half where he literally was everywhere. Faded in second half though and seeing as he pretty much carried the midfield today, as soon as his game faded a bit we didn't look as dangerous going forward.
Fotheringham - 4 - Misplaced passes, some AWFUL deliveries from promising set piece situations. He worked hard at times but I never felt like he was going to anything to change the game. Will need to improve hugely next season if he wants to be a regular NCFC player.
Spillane - 4 - Sorry, he tried hard, but didn't really do anything at all, it was pretty hard to work out where he was actually supposed to be playing, and bringing in a young player, who's barely played for the first team this season, in a derby match seemed a rather odd choice by Grant.
Hucks - 6.5 - Would be a 7 for some of his decent crosses today but sorry for me he just kept looking for free kicks too much. When he went down for a penalty in the second half he could have EASILY stayed on his feet and done more with it. Guilty of going down too much unnecessarily today and giving the ball away a bit too.
Earnie - 5 - Crap service meant he never stood a chance of being in the game. He tried hard in the 2nd half, tracking back etc but that's not his game, and he should never have had to track back.
Martin - 6 - WHY was Martin seemingly playing left wing when he came on??? This made NO sense to me. We had been playing long balls all day, Earnie has no chance getting them but tries, Hucks doesn't even go for them, and Martin occasionally wins the odd 1 or 2, but no, we played Martin out in a position he's not used to. One great run where he peeled off at the far post and got on the end of Huck's great cross but other than that fairly quiet, mainly as he was out of position.
Colin - 6 - Think he will be one of the players leaving us at the end of this season. As much as I think he HAS the potential to be a great right back with the pace he's got, he sadly neither has the attacking instinct or the ability to defend consistently well.
