Cave-Brown and MLJ at RB and LB respectively and Dublin at CB, Croft on the right wing, and if Earnie is fit enough, Hucks on the left wing, Earnie and Martin up front and Etuhu and Hooze in the centre.

Doesn't sound half as desperate now. Except having either Hughes or Etuhu having to play as a holding midfielder which is scary.
