Watford is a small town

less than half the size of Norwich, so the potential attendance is smaller. Take off all the Arsenal supporters (premiership hype has probably made this much more of a factor than it was when Watford made it to the final) and the dormitory town aspect (people like me) and you would need pretty much every man, woman and child to go to sell half of Villa Park, even if it is reasonably easy to get to.

Add in the high cost and the high probability of defeat, together with disgruntlemt about the way Boothroyd has them playing, and I'm not surprised they didn't sell out. In reality, few towns and cities are as enthusiastic across the board about their football team as Norwich is.
