best way to say it mike is

if you'd have done a spread bet on the wickets, of a quid high, at 544, you'd currently be 4 quid up at 548, as you now win a quid for every wicket after 544

The run bet is more impressive, as you're only 200 off,

If the tournament ends with 19,000 runs, and you'd done a pound a run, you'll be about 3 grand up

Works the other way though, if there had only been 400 wickets you'd owe 144 quid, and if there had only been 14,000 runs and you'd gone high, you'd owe 2 grand

Risky betting but whatever stake you've done you're sat pretty now
