Defending, are you sure?

Didn't look like a problem with defending today, in fact I thought the back four looked okay given the onslaught for most of the game. The problem is yet another tactically poor performance from the midfield four. The midfield were totally outplayed and never retained possession for any length of time. Etuhu played okay at times but we just haven't got a (pardon the cliche) midfield general who is capable of orchestrating play. I'm not suggesting that the goals weren't down to poor defending but given the amount of play dictated by West Brom it was inevitable that eventually the back four would crack. It's very naive to believe it's the fault of the defence.
