I think their point is that if things don't work out to the new owner's whim, they either stick their oar in and create a bigger mess (Stoke, Hearts), or just pull the plug entirely. There is absolutely nothing which would tie them to the club, and given the way most of these deals are structured, they can walk away with their cash anytime and leave us with an eye-watering debt we can't begin to pay. And that's before you get to the likes of Kia "West Ham are a great Real Estate opportunity" Joorbachian.
