It's not actually that difficult...
I've built 5 computers from scratch without any training.
It's convenient that everything only fits in where it should go.
The only complex bits are hooking up the power supply (while keeping the wires tidy) and connecting the various USB/front sound/firewire connections on the case to the motherboard.
