My boy plays for a team in Norwich , their training on a Saturday consists of an hour and a quarter of skills ( dribbling , passing , shooting etc ) then 20 - 30 minutes of a five a side match 0- the game is stopped if teh ball is hoofed - the result is generally a draw as well

Next season he is playing in the under 8 League and I suspect the empahasis will change when other teams visit - they have already said that they will include even the crappy players in their games - another team I contacted ( my son was 6 ) asked me how good he was and would he be good enough to get into their team - to me that is all wrong , surelythe big thing is enjoyment
