Tech Help required

My dsktop machine is not at all old - maybe 18 months.

hard disk is probably 3/4 full.

the bloody fan is always flat out - makes a right old noise - really off putting.

I have a near identical desktop close by that does not make such a noise.

has anyone any ideas on how I can stop this?

any help is appreciated.
