FAO Stoopish and Otto

This'll be quick as I have to get off to work - forgive me if I don't express myself very well.

First: I hope everybodys' friends and family are safe and unharmed this morning.

Otto & Stoopish: Thanks for the reasoned debate, below - most unusual for WOTB at the best of times. I very much agree with Otto's analysis: this was a despicable crime and the perpetrators should be brought to justice. It should also be noted that it is almost certain that Muslims are amongst the dead and injured. But, the "why" is as important as the "who" - perhaps more so; very few people plant bombs on mass transit systems without some kind of reason. The US ignored (in fact, manipulated) those reasons after 9/11 and that has directly led to two wars & occupations in Afghanistan and Iraq causing an awful lot of suffering for millions of innocent civilians. Those actions may also have a bearing on the terrible crime committed yesterday.
