f**king useless offside rule

"wait till the player becomes active"
FFS he's chasing down a ball in the oppo half, how much more active can you get? did the lino really have to wait till he touched it?
That's what did us, gave the ref the 'excuse' that too much time had passed to pull it back, allowing him to bottle out of making a decision over the colour of the card.
Which should of been red.
