I think he said

that casualties aren't so high that everyone in London should rush to a hospital to give blood. Which, to my mind, is perfectly accurate.

The priority for the emergency services and hospital staff must be to find and treat the injured. There's no indication whatsoever that the number of wounded is so high as to threaten London's blood supplies.

To suggest otherwise at the moment is to raise people's fears unnecessarily.

He was also the first to think of the biger picture, writing "Let's just hope that we don't use this as an excuse to bomb some country".

Which is surely one of the least flippant and most important things for us all to consider in the aftermath of this terrible attack.

Hope he continues to post... with less jokes. And no Big Brother.
