Worst Ever Norwich Player Debate? Sorry, Not Thorne!
He might be up there in the top 10.
But, bad as he has been for us, there were indications he could play and score goals prior to his joining us-in other words, he has had "form" before!
Some players we sign no-one has ever heard of, else have never been any good, anywhere!
Other contenders?
Going back in time who can forget Erik Fugelstadt? One long range goa is what most of us will remember him for, but other than that...?
How about David Fairclough? Or Gary Rowell? Similar to Thorne, excellent scoring records and reputations before coming to Norwich, and then....?
Dean Coney and Darren Beckford-the former chested one in against, I think, Coventry, the latter did a decent backheel to set up a Mark Robins goal at Oldham once...but other than that, ???
Alan Taylor-ex West Ham, scored two goals in 75 Cup Final. Came to us and scored one of the funniest, flukiest goals you'll ever see at QPR, in the goal we were standing behind at Loftus Road-no-one cheered, we were all laughing!
But he was injured most of the time he was with us!
What about Victor Segura? Did he actually do anything whilst he was with us?
Henryk Mortenson came to us from Odense with a very high reputation-but, other than a blinding performance in a friendly game at Sutton I saw him play in, that was that...
...and it could go on and on and on. Jason Jarrett for example?
So Thorne has plenty of rivals, especially for us poor sods with long memories!
