He HAS had very difficult circumstances this year: the whole take-over thing at West Ham, the Argie fiasco, then coming in mid-season with no cash available, having to turn around an apparent disharmony within the playing staff, wait a while until he could get in his preferred coaching staff, having so many injuries including Earnshaw whose goals were allowing us to tread water.

Hopefully we will stay up, and then sell Earnie for a few million (although I'd imagine we'll lose a lot on the fee now) and Grant can show us next season what he's all about.

Can't help thinking he's rather short on social intelligence though.
