FAO duckandchips - adult circumcision

A very, very, very painful experience. A good friend of mine got an infected foreskin (don't ask) when we were climbing in the Hindu Kush. He didn't trust the local medics (not unreasonably) and so when we got back to Blighty he had to have it lopped off. He told me that the aftermath was one of the most painful times of his life. Basically, your knob is an incredibly sensitive bit of kit, equipped with a very large number of nerve-endings. If it has spent a life underneath a nice comfy blanket of skin, suddenly being exposed to the outside world is one hell of a shock for it. My chum spent a week in bed with a wire cage holding the duvet miles up in the air to avoid any faint possibility of contact. He then wore a kilt for a fortnight, again with an internal cage structure to avoid contact. If he rolled onto his front in his sleep during the next month, he woke up screaming.

Apart from that it was fine.

The only careers you need to be circumcised for are Rabbi and porn star. I think he ought to think again.
