This is the problem. A lot of the teams below us are picking up points. Although Leeds and Southend are fairly adrift at the bottom, even they are getting some points. Maybe not lately for Southend, but they were on a little run a little while back - 5 wins out of 9 in january and early february. Therefore, it doesn't look like the bottom three (at least 3rd from bottom) is going to get cut adrift like it is in some seasons.

In short, the bottom three (or three of the bottom six) don't look like relegating themselves by losing every week, so we have to get out of trouble ourselves.

Luton away and Barnsley away this week. Two losses would obviously be disastrous, but unfortunately it also wouldn't be that much of a surprise.
