I do that lots. FOr e.g. when we were in Edinburgh last year.

We were wandering through the xmas market in the Princes St. Gardens and found an enclosure full of "Santa's" reindeer. Real ones, eating hay and stuff. And it was raining at that point, really rather hard in that Scottish way.

And it was only in the pub having some food later on that I realised I'd missed the opportunity for a "it looks like rain, dear" gag.
