I haven't seen the footage which outraged you this morning so can't argue - but I would urge you to consider that the media may not have been presenting an equitable view of the 'anarchists'. Not all demonstrators ARE anarchists, as I'm sure you know.
Way I hear it, yesterday at least, the cops started the ball rolling....... but I doubt anyone'd take my word for it. The park benches that were chucked, for instance - the way I hear it, the benches were uprooted to serve as a barricade, protecting the demonstrators from an unprovoked baton charge, which took in not only 'anarchists' but also a lot of locals who'd gathered in the park to have their lunch.
Then again, I wasn't there. That said, I don't see why my sources should be any less reliable than the f**king BBC.
