should get the same replacment as when purchased i.e brand new model. When did you get the replacement? you may be able to claim a refund if within time period.

My advice if you can, pop down to your local CAB ask them to do a letter on your behalf and it will sorted asap. Done it many times for clients with faulty goods. The good must match the description of the item and be fit for the purpose, if not breach of contract.
