And it's based on sampling, so with such a high margin of error, it's dubious statistically speaking. Nonetheless, there have certainly been "many tens of thousands" of deaths and possibly hundreds of thousands.

Disgracefully, the US don't count the number of dead and injured Iraqis they come across, which says a lot about what they think of them.
