No conviction at all I'm afraid. I can't criticise his second effort: he hit that one beautifully, and it was a superb save. You could argue he should've kept it down, but with instinctive chances like that it's easier said than done. But the first one was a fantastic chance squandered. That terrible miss at QPR seems to have done his confidence in front of goal horrendous damage (didn't Martin Hunter say Croft was in tears in the dressing room afterwards?), and he hasn't got it back: indeed, he hasn't scored for us since, has he?
Don't get me wrong: I really like Crofty - I think most of us do. But he just has to do better with chances like yesterday's - and overall, his goalscoring return this season has been disappointing, to say the least.
