Have watched him three times now and feel Grant has made a mistake here. Tall but actually pretty poor in the air, big but actually gets brushed off things very easily indeed (so please let's not have comparisons with Iwan!) and has a really poor goalscoring career record. has had several chances for us and never looked like making one count.
If you watch a rerun of today's game just watch the way Terry pushes him away before the corner is taken from which Brown laid their second on for Drogba. It really is embarrassing; it's like watching a man swat away an annoying little fly.
I might be proved wrong in the fullness of time but I think Martin is a much better prospect tham Brown. I reckon all those Mackems who laughed and told us we'd signed a turkey were right!
