As Paris seem to have got a good few of the Madrid votes-guess it was the New York supporters who favoured London that tipped the balance. Nice one!
Wonder if we'll ever see a World Cup now though? Can only think of Germany (1972 Olympics, 1974 World Cup) that have ever had both close together & you could argue that we had "only" 18 years between a Olympics and a World Cup ourselves. Sadly, don't think a World Cup will be coming here for 25-30 years plus.
