Yeah but to be serious about it...

....VBAers often come from the wrong direction. They are using Excel or Word and decide to use some VBA. They start using it a bit more and after a while find they can do some "nifty" things with it. But they don't understand what is happening underneath. They label themselves programmers and then attempt to move into VB, and the code they produce is absolutely awful.

If you have someone from, say, a C-based background, they understand the implications of what they are doing and produce much more efficient stuff. Yes, they take longer, but it's far cheaper as you don't have to keep maintaining it all the time.

I loved the idea of VB.Net simply because it would weed out the VBAers, but apparently not!
