My Tu'pence worth on the state of things so far...

re: francis (sorry to bring him up again), is he doesn't want to be here get rid, can't see us getting much more than ?1.7m anyway.

The team worthy is building is starting to look quite good for the CCC. THe defence and forward line looks good for this league. I think he is trying to build a poor man's arsenal, ie 2 holding players in the middle of the park, with attacking wingers.

So I can see centre mids of Jarrett and Safri (both can pass a bit too) and wide left Huckerby, do his usual stuff the problem will be the right side, a role that a couple of years ago McVeigh would have been ideal for, but as it stands now I guess it will be Jonson or A.N Other. If we fill this right sided gap I can see us putting up a good challenge for the championship. Hughes sounds like he will be brought in for his versatility if the rumours are true, so will probably sit on the bench.

Finally, if Everton are done with Taylor I think it would be a good investment for the future for us and may help the lack of creativity on the right side.
