Doncaster needs to stop telling us when we got close to signing people.

Yes it shows we made an effort but it also becomes hugely annoying when it gets to become a regular thing. Every transfer window we always nearly get someone good, then something gets in the way. If it didn't happen don't share it, then we don't get disappointed lol Simple!

As for Fotheringham and Lappin, I think Fotherigham probably sees us as a better move than Rangers because of the complete lack of competition in that league. Yes he'll play in the Champions League potentially, but equally he'll never be able to reach his full potential there. By coming here he may make it big with us, then get a move to a Prem club, therefore making the short term gamble of joining a smaller club one that's definitely worth taking.

As for Lappin, I think he'll really want to prove himself and therefore work his arse off for us. I can't imagine the league he came from is all that much about "Pretty" football, so he should fit in well in the Championship.

I think these two will do well for us. Still gutted we've lost Robinson though. May not always be great for us, but played REALLY well on Tuesday, in the first half especially, and I think him having to drop back cost us a little of our attacking impetus, but still, good solid player, one we coulda done with keeping til the end of the season.
