The age of 'citizen journalists' - a bad thing for the excitement of deadline day...
Is it just me, or is there a constant feeling of anti-climax on deadline day? All the transfer gossip and 'sources' might be fun in the build up, but when it comes to the crunch, you pretty much know who you are going to be signing. Gone are the days when any transfer was exciting, and it would take two or three full months to realise the signings might not be what they are built up to be - now, everyone has got the opinion, everyone has got the stats, everyone has a link to the selling club message board that says the player is s**t. I dont know, just takes the 'romance' out of it for me!
