I was merely parodying someone below who said the manager doesn't know what he's doing - he does know what he's doing - unfortunately he is in the same position as O'Neill - working for a club where the board believe that off the field trivialities (in Chase's case gold-plated taps, now pie-fillings) are more worthy of attention than football. Grant was probably duped by Dave Stringer being on the selection panel into thinking he was joining a football club - not a leisure destination. Now that he is aware of the monumental incompetence and buffoonery with which he has to deal it would not surprise me if he makes the same decision as O'Neill.
