Dion clearly felt that Doherty was to blame. My impression, though, was that if Marshall had come for it he would have got it. Whichever way you look at it having three great big blokes stood looking while the fellow had a free header is disastrous (with another attacker unmarked behind him and equally well-placed to score if he missed it.
Zonal marking might be right for some teams - but it's been a disaster for us all season - witness the fiasco at Plymouth.
