at the time of writing, we have signed David Marshall on loan to the
end of the season, as well as Luke Chadwick and Chris Brown on permanent
deals for fees in each case

without going through each club, i am not sure there'll be too many
championship clubs that have signed more than 3 players in this window

and work is ongoing to bring in further players

we are backing the manager (as he himself has said)

but to simply deliver players, when you do not have the agreement of
the selling/loaning club, the player and the various agents involved, is
impossible

that is why signing players can appear to take an overly long time -
it has nothing to do with any lack of effort
