Well, I think we have to be fair to Grant

He's barely arrived in the job and I'm pretty sure he's shocked at the legacy left to him (in both quality and attitude). Whether he's a "gobs**te" or not his pronouncements in general haven't been too far off the mark have they? It's not always possible to get what you want in such a short window and with such a tight budget (for whatever reasons). Moreover, it's not always possible to turn around a squad that's been poor at set pieces for several years now.

Remember too that Matthew Spring was more or less in the bag until circumstances beyond the clubs control intervened. Also Earnies serious injury has meant that he's also got to consider bringing in another striker as well as all his other targets.

Give the man a break - he's got to be allowed time to build his own squad. This time next year you may have a point, but not before I don't think.
