A few extra things from last nights AGM.
Apologies if WWII
* We enquired about Rowan Vine - Luton came back and asked for ?750k. He became involved in an auction and ended up going for ?3m.
* Grant wanted Guiseppe Rossi on loan but preferred Parma instead (unofficial, he was talking to a group of fans after the official meeting).
* Grant would accept Huckerby's lack of tracking back, if he was scoring goals and creating chances for others, but that is not happeneing either. When questioned that Huckerby on LW worked during our Championship winning season, Grant came back staright away and said that Gary Holt did Huckerby's tracking back for him - Grant knew this himself as he watched us many times that season. On reflection, you can't argue with that statement as "three lungs" always did cover Hucks' side. Oh for a Gary Holt (as he was then) now.
* Grant has got 3 or 4 other irons in the fire, which he is hopeful on.
* Marshall cannot be recalled back by Celtic, due to laws when loaning someone from another country - so he is ours whatever happens between now and the end of the season.
* Drury came to Grant when he took over to offer himself to step down as captain, if he thought Grant saw fit. Grant decided to continue for the time being.
* Grant said we will definatley be getting a new coach in to replace Webb - once January is out of the way.
* Grant wants to restructure the scouting system and pay more attention to the lower leagues and Conference, to give us a better chance of unearthing hidden gems.
* When asked the Dion would make a great captain and to revert him back to CB, Delia most certainly approved of this.
* Grant wants to change the changing colours of Red and Black to Green and Yellow (!)
* Grant was very annoyed that Jurgen Colin wore his socks down by his ankles in the last game, saying the was very unprofessional and gave a message to the opposition that his mindset was negative.
Generally, Grant is very very open with the fans and only too keen to talk. He seems an extremely genuine person and would have talked to a group of fans after the main forum all night, until Doncaster prised him away!
