The Doc and " protecting his own skin"
The Doc`s latest public pronouncements are both laughable and somewhat sickening in their self interest. He must be in the first line for the chop based on PG`s latest public utterings. Of course the Doc will therefore urge PG not to promote the younsters. In fact his comments are laughable because the obvious person to replace him is not a youngster but the exact opposite in Dion. I also find it sickening that he should publically be suggesting that the club buy in replacements . He is running scared that with Earnie probably out he and the other underperformers cannot hide behind Earnies goals to keep them out of the s**t of relegation. The comment is also laighable because it is a blatant admission of the squads inadequacies that he feels that the squad cannot unite to get themselves out of the s**t.
My view. Maybe Earnie`s injury will be the kick up the backside they need as long as PG and the coaching staff can properly motivate them. Play Hucks up front with Brown; get in a replacement goalkeeper Marshall or Camp ( preferably the latter because he is older and a proven performer with us) ; play Dion at the back with the Doc on the bench ; play Eagle on the left until Chadwick is fit ; and motivate the players that they are playing for their careers; that they can no longer hide behind Earnie`s goals and that as a team they must unite and together get the goals needed to keep us up.
Adversity always has its positives. Come on PG and the team. This is your chance to show what you are really made of.
