Remote control is different from building in an MP3 player

Though actually pointless as well. What's the point in being able to switch on a dishwasher or a washing machine from another location? All it will do is wash what's already inside it, and since you were there when you put the last item in it, you might as well have switched it on then. Until they invent crockery which gets itself in and out of the dishwasher while you're away, or socks that get out of the linen basket and hop into the washing machine, this is just pointless gimmickery.
