there have been developments actually; although i sent him an email saying thanks but no thanks, i received a dodgy 'paypal' confirmation of a transfer. only this was a complete fake (looks odd, never received such an email before, and the money hasn't arrived in my real paypal a/c), and it also was about ?20 short. anyway, i reported this to paypal, and tried to report it to ebay (unsuccessfully - contacting ebay is absolutely impossible) and have told this guy (again) that i'm not getting involved. anyway, i have offered it to the second highest bidder who will hopefully pay up!
