Firstly, you can't hook up your iPod to their iTunes unless they don't have their own iPod. This is because you have to register the iPod with iTunes (this is to make piracy harder for joe public).

If they don't have their own iPod you can hook it up no problem but you have (on both copies of iTunes) click on 'manually manage music' (plug in your ipod and the option is there). You would have to register your iPod with their iTunes (I think anyway)

It's a pain in the arse though because it's kinda difficult to keep track of what's on your pc and what's on the ipod and vice versa. I would just get him/her to burn a CD/DVD with the mp3s that you want and then copy them to your computer/itunes - much easier
