Dublin wasn't McKenzie's replacement, he was signed to provide more options in both defence and attack - partly because Thorne wasn't fit/good enough.

Dublin will impart a lot of experience to Jason Shackell and has improved the defence greatly - certainly looked far more solid than Doherty. Did well against QPR when pushed up front for the last 15-20 minutes too. He's a class act.
