latest poll said 70% wont be having a xmas party this year due to lots of claims being brought against them in the past year for the last xmas party. If anything happens at the xmas party for i.e personal injury claim or arguments between employees which result in a grievance being lodged or ET claim being put forward the employer is liable as they arranged the party.
Lot of companis are letting the employees arange their own party this year so there is no come back on the employer. Legislation has changed so much recently that favours the employees more these days.
