the trouble with doc is

he is not a natural centre half, allthough saying that neither is dion. i played mostly at centre half, you learn an instinct as to where the forward will run and when he will shoot etc etc, its normally essential as the forward has more pace than the deffender. the doc is also very quiet on the pitch as is shackell. the doc certainly had some great games for norwich in defence allthough like you say is extremly clumbsy
