Interesting Doncaster Quotes
In the book "Matchday" by Chris Green, the author trails Doncaster for a day (it was the home game vs Chelsea in the Prem) and gets some interesting quotes from him...some of you will know these already, so apologies to you!
He's a huge Palace fan.
Has had loads of job offers from other clubs in the last 2-3 years-turned them all down as loves it here.
Ashton fee was borrowed against future season ticket fees.
Says financial stability and progress and success don't necessarily go hand in hand ("...success helps but its not a pre-requisite to driving up income...")
Norwich, as a club, support the proposed home grown minimum players in a squad rule.
Said the club would earn approximately ?20 Million from its season in the Prem.
Nice bloke and the author said so as well-has anyone spoken to him at his "station" between the River End and Jarrold lately?
