you're moaning about Hoggard?

what bothers me more is Anderson's selection.

Monty wasn't picked (apparently) because he can't bat, but Anderson can't bat OR bowl. And Giles can't bowl (surely a more important consideration than batting ability for bowlers?)

But for all the duff selection/tactics the fact remains that only 1 or 2 of England's squad are good enough to get into the Aussie team so in Oz conditions the series was always pretty much a foregone conclusion
