Pretty much

Unless you are Liverpool, or Arsenal, or someone similar, you don't regularly turn an operating profit. That's why you need a sugar daddy of some sort. If you're lucky, it's someone local who loves the club. If you're not, you'd better hope they have benevolent motives.

I can't remember the list, but a few months ago (In response to the tedious "Delia open your wallet" posts), I looked up the Football Club Owner's rich list. We came way, way down the list behind all sorts of League 2 and even Conference clubs!
