even the papers are having a pop...
Only Robert Earnshaw threatened for the visitors, who were even more uncomfortable with a 4-5-1 formation than the home side.
Darren Huckerby was one of the two forwards stuck out wide. Clearly he did not enjoy it.
Grant said: "Sunderland were delighted to get three points. I don't think they deserved them.
"We were very disciplined. It is the quietest I have heard this place. That is great credit to our players.
"I am gutted to have dropped three points. Iwould have been gutted with a draw. Roy will be delighted to get the points. We were the better side.
"There is no doubt both teams will push for the play-offs. Sunderland will have a few bob to spend in January. Come the end of the season, both teams will be there."
Don't bet too much on Norwich, though. What precious few chances there were fell to Sunderland.
