Next Season....
Heat will be on Granty to deliver.
Funny that, in amongst all the outbursts about Worthington in his final months, people always added "...but he's a really nice bloke...". It seems that the Board might have realised that, as Grant seems to be the bad cop to Worthy's good cop, giving players, media, supporters, the sharp end of his tongue if he feels it is necessary-and sometimes if it is not.
There is enormous pressure on him as well as he had made it plain he wants to be Celtic boss sooner or later, and, if he screws up here, that'll never happen. If he succeeds however...
January and the summer is crucial. For a start, we must try to get Camp permanently. Then I more or less agree with everyone else-an experienced (but not over 30) centre half, a creative (thats C-R-E-A-T-I-V-E, Mr Grant) midfielder, and a target man.
Ashton and Earnshaw would have been handy! Theres talk of Carlton Cole, he and Earnie certainly would be.
Mediocre times to come now between now and May. Hopefully things will happen to get us excited about next season.
