One Step Forward

One, and sometimes two steps backward. I am not a fan of the 4-5-1 formation because it leaves us with very few attacking options, especially with the two wide right players out.

Earnie also suffers with this, especially away from home. I am worried he will get injured chasing lost causes and then where would we be?

Grant needs to buy in the January window and it is not rocket science to say that a strike partner for Earnshaw has to be top of the list. It sounds as though we asked very few questions of Sunderland this afternoon which isn't surprising. I think Hunter's influence can be seen in the 4-5-1 formation. We started the season like that but it didn't take long for teams to suss it out, even with Croft in the side.
