4-5-1, 4-3-3, Whatever-Its Negative

People bang on about Chelsea and how they are dominant and winning things, but they are pretty damned boring to watch!

How do they play-4-3-3/4-5-1 and look at the quality when they do! Robben or Cole wide for example, Drogba in the middle. Effective but dull-and they have the players to carry it off.

We don't. All the great Norwich sides of recent years have been 4-4-2. Simple. Two wingers who run the flanks, no need for the right/left backs to get as forward then, they can defend. One creative midfielder, one holding midfielder (Crook and Newman?), plus a "traditional" pairing up front, the big strong un and the little quick un. Simplistic I know, but players know their jobs and it works.

You can't string 5 across the middle-no space and people are easily drawn out of position as its so narrow.
